Lebanon faces ongoing risks of vaccine-preventable disease importation through land, sea, and air entry points. To enhance national surveillance, immunization, and outbreak prevention, the Border Vaccination Coordinator will oversee vaccination staff deployment, reporting, vaccine stock management, and coordination at designated borders. 2. Objective of the Position To ensure effective planning, implementation, monitoring, reporting, and operational coordination of border vaccination activities in collaboration with MoPH, UNICEF, border authorities, humanitarian partners, and security agencies. 3. Years of Experience required: |
Minimum 3 years of experience in immunization, PHC programs, or humanitarian health operations |

Knowledge/Expertise/Skills required: |
· Experience with MoPH EPI systems preferred · Experience in team coordination and reporting required · Knowledge of cold chain, MERA, and vaccine logistics is an asset · Strong analytical and reporting skills · Leadership and team coordination · Ability to work in high-stress, multi-stakeholder environments · Excellent communication and negotiation abilities · Knowledge of Lebanon’s border context |

Tasks/Milestone: |
Program Coordination & Planning |
· Develop an annual operational plan for vaccination activities at all border points (including staffing, schedule, and supply needs). · Coordinate with MoPH EPI central unit, UNICEF, WHO, and border facility management to support continuous immunization delivery. · Identify high-risk border locations and prioritize deployment of vaccinators. · Schedule routine and outreach vaccination sessions throughout the year.

Resource and Logistics Management |
· Ensure adequate supply of vaccines, cold chain equipment, safety boxes, PPE, and immunization cards at all sites. · Coordinate vaccine distribution and replenishment with central warehouse and district cold rooms. · Forecast monthly vaccine needs based on population movement trends. · Monitor expiry dates, stock levels, and wastage. |

Staff Supervision & Capacity Building |
· Supervise border vaccinators (monitor attendance, quality of work, data accuracy, and compliance with SOPs). · Conduct on-the-job coaching and monthly technical meetings. · Coordinate two training workshops per year on: · Safe injection practices · AEFI reporting · Cold chain management · Data recording (DHIS2, tallies, registers)

Coordination & Stakeholder Engagement |
· Collaborate with border security forces, customs, UN agencies, NGOs, and airport/seaport management. · Participate in national immunization meetings and outbreak response discussions. · Support cross-border coordination with neighboring countries when needed (Syria, Cyprus, Jordan, etc.).

Infection Prevention & Waste Management |
· Ensure safe disposal of sharps, syringes, and immunization waste at border sites. · Coordinate collection with Arcenciel or other waste management partners. · Train vaccinators on safe waste segregation and storage at point of use.
