Work Location
Governorate-level duty stations across Lebanon (Beirut, Mount Lebanon, South, Nabatiyeh, Bekaa, Baalbak El Hermel, North, Akkar).
The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) is operating under prolonged humanitarian and financial crises that have severely affected its human resource capacity. Within a localized, government-led coordination architecture, the Health Sector is reinforcing MoPH leadership in subnational coordination at governorate level.
This role fills critical gaps in MoPH presence and leadership at subnational health sector coordination platforms, strengthening government ownership, alignment with national strategies, and accountability to affected populations.
To support MoPH-led subnational health sector coordination, ensure alignment between national priorities and field-level implementation, and strengthen collaboration with local authorities, UN agencies, NGOs, and partners.
- Support and facilitate subnational health sector coordination meetings
- Coordinate with governorate-level authorities and DRM units
- Support needs assessments, gap analyses, and information management (3Ws/4Ws)
- Conduct field monitoring and quality assurance visits
- Maintain regular coordination with MoPH units, partners, and surveillance focal points
- Monthly technical reports and meeting minutes
- Validated mapping of partner activities
- Monitoring and trip reports
- Contributions to national health and emergency preparedness plans
Education: First university degree in public health, nursing, epidemiology, statistics, social sciences, or related field
Experience: 1–3 years of experience in humanitarian or public health settings, preferably in Lebanon
Competencies & Skills
The officer will be embedded within the Ministry of Public Health and report to the designated MoPH supervisor (Rais al Maslaha), with technical oversight from the seconding organization.
