Position Objectives:

The Dedicated Focal Point – LPSP aims to:

  • Support the planning, coordination, and implementation of LPSP activities.
  • Facilitate partner engagement, communication, and information sharing.
  • Monitor program progress and support evaluation of outputs and outcomes.
  • Ensure timely reporting and documentation of LPSP achievements, challenges, and recommendations.

 

 

  1. Core Duties & Responsibilities:

Planning and Implementation

  • Support timely and effective execution of LPSP activities in compliance with national health policies and MoPH procedures.
  • Assist the Project Manager in preparing and following up on project work plans aligned with LPSP goals.
  • Contribute to developing and updating LPSP-related materials and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Support day-to-day project implementation, including coordination of internal and external meetings.

Coordination, Budgeting, and Partner Engagement

  • Assist in budget planning and monitoring to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication with project partners (UN agencies, INGOs, stakeholders).
  • Facilitate joint planning, technical discussions, and practical problem-solving with partners.
  • Support the preparation of presentations, trainings, workshops, and other LPSP-related events.

Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting

  • Support implementation and periodic review of the LPSP M&E framework and indicators.
  • Track program progress, outputs, and outcomes.
  • Prepare monthly narrative and quantitative reports highlighting progress, challenges, gaps, and recommendations, submitting them to the Project Manager for review.

Coordination and Reporting

  • Submit regular progress reports as required by MoPH.
  • Participate in coordination and review meetings.
  • Respond to ad-hoc LPSP-related requests in coordination with the MoPH.
  • Tasks may evolve based on programmatic needs.
  1. Expected Outputs:
  • Timely implementation of LPSP activities in compliance with MoPH procedures.
  • Updated work plans, SOPs, and program materials.
  • Effective coordination with partners and stakeholders.
  • Monthly narrative and quantitative progress reports submitted to the Project Manager.
  • Documentation of program achievements, challenges, and recommendations.
  • Monthly report pertaining to the above activities and attendance schedule

 

  1. Required Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

  • University degree in Public Health, Health Management, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in health project coordination, implementation, or support roles.
  • Experience working with PHC programs, donors, or NGOs is an asset.

Competencies & Skills:

  • Fluency in Arabic and English (spoken and written); French is an asset.
  • Strong command of Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with reporting tools and budgeting follow-up is an asset.
  • Strong coordination, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to support planning, implementation, and reporting of health programs effectively.
  1. Reporting & Supervision:

The Dedicated Focal Point reports directly to the Head of the PHC Department at MoPH. Technical guidance, supervision, and approval of reports are provided by the MoPH PHC Department, in coordination with the Project Manager.

  1. Contract Type & Duration:

Full-time position.

Contract duration to be defined according to program needs and funding availability.

 

  1. Work Location:

Based at the Ministry of Public Health, PHC Department, with periodic field visits to PHCCs and partner locations as required.
